Shaktiwan Agro began in 1999 as a small agri-input trade at Chiraigaon, on the Varanasi–Ghazipur side of the city. Manufacturing started in 2003, and in 2017 the house was formally incorporated as Yagyavalkya Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd.
Today the Shaktiwan Group makes one complete catalogue for a season — crop protection, plant nutrition, growth regulators, bio-organics and seed — manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality systems and sold through a dealer network that knows its farmers by name.
