Why we organise it this way
A farmer does not have a pest problem. He has a crop.
A catalogue arranged by chemistry is useful to a chemist. In the field the question is different: the maize is at knee-height, the whorl is chewed, and something has to be done this week.
So these pages are built the way the season runs. Each crop is taken stage by stage — nursery or sowing, early growth, flowering or tillering, and harvest — and at each stage we name the problem as it appears on the plant, not as a technical term.
Against every problem sits one recommended Shaktiwan product, the window in which it works, and what a correct application should do for the crop. Nothing more, because guessing in a field is expensive.

How a crop page works
Every entry on every crop page follows the same five links, in the same order.
Problem
What you can see on the plant: window-pane damage in the whorl, hopper burn in patches, orange pustules climbing towards the flag leaf, flowers dropping before they set.
Recommended product
One Shaktiwan product for that problem, with a link to its own page. No long shortlist to choose between at the counter.
Application window
The crop stage at which the product does its work. Miss the window and the same product in the same field will do very little.
Benefit
What a correct application should protect — tillers, cob weight, green leaf area through grain fill, marketable fruit at each picking round.
Dose is never given on this site. Quantity, composition and pack size will be published only from Company-approved label data. Use the approved pack label and technical leaflet supplied with the product, and call our agronomy team if anything is unclear.
