We began in 1999 as an agri-input trade, started manufacturing in 2003 and were incorporated as Yagyavalkya Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. in 2017. Everything is in one place — formulation, quality control, packing, dispatch and the sales desk — at the Chiraigaon works.
That has a consequence worth being honest about. There is no large corporate structure to hide inside. If you handle a batch, a territory or a farmer complaint, it is yours. People here are expected to take a decision, explain it, and be in the field when it matters.
Most of our roles involve travel in the districts around Varanasi and eastern Uttar Pradesh, standing in crops with farmers and dealers. Office hours at the works are Monday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.

A farmer spends on our pack once a season and cannot afford a wrong answer. Every role here — from the QC bench to the territory — exists to make sure the pack does what the label says and the advice given with it is honest.

The kinds of people we regularly recruit
These are the role types that recur in a company like ours — not live vacancies. Whether any of them is open right now depends on the season and the team. Ask us and we will tell you.
Field Officer / Agronomy Advisor
Visits farmers with dealers, identifies the problem in the crop, recommends from approved label copy, runs demonstration plots and farmer meetings, and reports what the field is actually showing.
Suits: an agriculture graduate or diploma holder who would rather be in a field than at a desk, and who can explain a spray schedule in the local language.Territory Sales Officer
Looks after the dealers in a set of districts — order planning ahead of the season, stock and display at the counter, collections discipline, and taking new products into the market with the field team.
Suits: someone with agri-input trade experience, a two-wheeler and a driving licence, comfortable travelling through the week and keeping accurate records.Production & Formulation
Runs batches to the approved formulation sheet, operates blending, filling and packing lines, keeps batch records complete, and maintains housekeeping and safe handling at the works.
Suits: a chemistry or chemical engineering background, or hands-on formulation plant experience; a person who follows a written procedure exactly and does not improvise.Quality Control Analyst
Tests raw material and finished batches in our own lab, releases or holds stock against specification, keeps calibration and retained samples in order, and supports ISO 9001:2015 documentation and audits.
Suits: a B.Sc or M.Sc in chemistry with laboratory discipline, and the confidence to fail a batch when the result says so.Warehouse & Dispatch
Receives and stores material correctly, picks and packs dealer orders, handles transporters and documentation, and keeps physical stock matching the system batch by batch.
Suits: someone organised and physically able, familiar with stores practice, GST paperwork and e-way bills.Accounts & Office
Billing, GST returns, dealer ledgers and collections follow-up, purchase and statutory records, and the day-to-day coordination that keeps the works and the field connected.
Suits: a commerce background with working Tally and spreadsheet skills, and care with other people’s money.These are not live openings. We do not publish job advertisements, salary figures or team sizes on this website, and we never ask a candidate for a payment of any kind at any stage.
What we look for
Five things that matter more than a degree
- Agronomy sense
- You can look at a plant and reason about what is wrong with it — pest, disease, weed pressure or a nutrient the crop is short of.
- Field willingness
- Most of our work happens away from a chair: in crops, at dealer counters, at farmer meetings, in heat and in the rain.
- Honesty with farmers
- You recommend from the approved label, you say “I do not know, let me check” when that is the truth, and you never oversell a pack.
- Local language
- Hindi and Bhojpuri are how the advice actually lands in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Written English is useful for records and reporting.
- Care with records
- Batch sheets, test results, stock and ledgers. In a regulated business, an unrecorded job is an unfinished job.

How hiring works here
Four steps, no aptitude tests and no rounds for the sake of rounds. We would rather spend a day with you in the field than an hour with your CV.

A conversation
First on the phone, then in person at the Chiraigaon works. We talk about crops you have worked with, markets you know, and what you want from the job. You should ask us hard questions too.
A day with the team
For field and sales roles, you go out with our officer — farmers, dealers, a standing crop. For works roles, you spend time on the shop floor or in the lab. Both sides learn more from this than from any interview.
Offer
References, documents, and a written offer setting out the role, the reporting line, the territory or department and the terms. Nothing important stays verbal.

Yes. Agriculture and chemistry freshers are considered for field and laboratory roles, and we do take students for short exposure when someone is free to supervise them properly. Say clearly in your note what you have done in a field or a lab, even if it was coursework.
Works roles are at Chiraigaon, Varanasi. Field and sales roles cover districts in eastern Uttar Pradesh and involve regular travel. Location, reporting line and remuneration are discussed in the interview and set out in the written offer. We do not publish salary figures.
